In the Atrium Gallery at the Galleries at Takoma Park, 21 of my Celestial Bodies and all four Pseudomorphs will be on display until July 5. The show is called “STEAM…when science intersects art.” STEAM refers to “Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics.” In a review in the Washington Post of the show “Beyond Layers” at Hillyer Artspace, Mark Jenkins called the Celestial Bodies “striking” and continues: “Whether they’re glimpses of worlds too vast or too tiny for human apprehension, these ‘Celestial Bodies’ fascinate.” I plan to finish all 26 in the series soon and I am looking for a good place to show the complete series. My new series, Jewels, is featured in the review of FotoBazaar in East City Arts. I will have some Jewels up on this site soon. You can see some of them at Black Lab this Thursday, November 20, 2014. This is a “Third Thursday,” so there will be many studios open on the Arts Walk.
